The 5 Transform options in Adobe After Effect & How they work.

Inside each layer on Adobe After Effect have a transform control as a position, scale, rotation for make a movements of a objects that you want.

Let understand how each of them work :

  1. Anchor Point :

Point for control some area of object. can adjust a position of point inside (Effect to position and scale when you need to transform)

How it work

Anchor point is a point that will come with the object. The point that helps control when working with scale or position of the object. It’s the point that allows the work to be diverse. and can add gimmicks to the

object.

  1. Position

We have X,Y axis of this for transform a object to left or right , Top or bottoms, or make many position that you need too.

How it work

X position direction Left and Right, Y position direction Top and bottom can create keyframes as needed. it’s not only X or Y direction, but can be adjusted to curve, zigzag direction as needed.

  1. Scale

You can set numbers to make an object big or small.

How it work

This is to adjust the size of the object by holding the number 100 - 0 as the standard value. Every imported to program has a default value of 100. If you want to reduce the size of the object Can reduce numeric values from 100 to 0. If you want to increase the size of the object Can add numeric values from 100 to the desired numerical value.

  1. Rotation

Rotate to full 360 degrees in order to make a cycle or set a number to adjust it on a object.

How it work

When thinking about the spinning of the a carousel This is similar to how Rotation works in Adobe After Effect, because it creates a rotation for a object with a center based on the Anchor point, it’s not just the complete rotation like a carousel. but can be built to rotate according to degrees from entering a number.

  1. Opacity

Start from fully opaque at 100% to fully transparent at 0%. Higher value make your layer opaque and smaller value makes your layer more transparent.

How it work

Imagine a magic that can make things disappear or come back in just a second. It works the same as with Opacity because you can enter numerical values to make the object lighter or opaque.
